Dr. Odd Q and A

Hello. Dr. Odd here. Since I have head 2 previous rounds of questions for people I know that I have posted here over the years I thought it would be interesting to answer some of the questions again and compare the answers to our old answers to see how some of our lives are different.


We would like to introduce Mary Beth.

What kind of radio station do you listen to usually?
I mostly listen to "adult album rock" like WXRT in Chicago or Sirius
Spectrum, anything from new alt rock to stuff like Van Morrison.

What is the 1st thing you want to do when you get home from work or when you
wake up on the weekends?
Since I stay at home, when my husband gets home, I want to do something that
doesn't involve entertaining my son. I will check my email or do computer
stuff during the week. When I wake up on the weekend, it's usually being
roused by our son, so the first thing I do is go change his diaper.

Who would you like to pattern yourself after? Still my dad. He was a neat
guy.

What is your favorite vacation spot? Anywhere beachy. I am a lazy lazy
vacationer.

If you could get paid the same amount of $ at your current job and do
anything, what would it be? Write travel books.

If you found $200 in the trash and you had to spend it that day, what would
you do with it Take $150 of it and selfishly head to a spa or go shopping
and give the other $50 to a charity.

Got kids? 1 boy who is almost 2. Another one due in June. We don't know
what we're having.

What is your favorite town or state in the United States? Austin, TX

What do you usually eat for dinner? Food that I carefully prepare or order.
I like to cook and we eat pretty much every type of cuisine, but try to eat
healthy.

What is your favorite website? Probably Facebook. I like reading about
random people from my life all in one place.

What do you do for $? Freelance writing from home, mostly newsletters and
stuff.

Dogs or cats? Dogs

What is your salad dressing of choice? Honey mustard

What is your favorite fast food place? What do you order there? Chick Fila.
Chicken sandwich with a wheat bun and light mayo, fries and a lemonade

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I'd like to have at least three
kids. Depending on their ages, I'd like to be working, again, in some
capacity.

What do you do exactly in your job? I write and put together HTML emails
and send them out for my old boss at his new company.

What kind of car do you have? Volvo SUV

If I had all the time and money, I would love to ... travel the world, live
abroad for a few months each year, volunteer and give lots of money to
charities.

What do you like to do on the weekends or in your spare time? Listen to
live music, go to family-type events with my husband and son that take place
outside, go to our lake house, go on the internet, read books, cook and
train and run for long distance races (when I'm not pregnant).

If you could name yourself, what name would you choose? Corinne

What is the last movie that you have seen that you enjoyed? The Runaways
about Joan Jett was pretty interesting.

What book are you reading now or have read recently? I just finished "The
Help" by Kathryn Sockett and it was really good!

What is your favorite magazine? Real Simple

What is your favorite TV show? Top Chef

What is your favorite sport to watch? Men's college basketball

What is your favorite sports team? Marquette Golden Eagles

What is your your favorite outdoor activity? Boating

What is your favorite food? Pizza

What do your order on your pizza? Pepperoni and mushroom, but I like all
kinds, except pineapple.

What is your favorite snack? Cheese

Where do you live? Austin, TX

In less than five words, describe yourself. Active, creative, critical,
moody, fun

What is under your bed? Lots of stuff that my husband and I probably need to
get rid of

Name 3 things you like - EX: I like sports and punk music and webpages.
I like reading, red wine and my family

What is the highest education level you have completed? Undergraduate college degree

If you can be a street performer, what celebrity would you like to
impersonate? My Cookie Monster voice is spot on
