Interview with Marcos about not Being Diablo Cody

There has been a lot of media buzz about the new movie Juno written by Diablo Cody. But I am not going into that. Tonight I was sitting on my couch watching Gossip Girl and I thought that it would actually be more fun and interesting to me to publish an interview I recently did with Diablo's brother Marcos about he and what he has been up to - enjoy!

Are your parents more proud of you or Diablo?

I think the most logical method of settling this question is through the use of a visual aid:

DIABLO   MARCOS
Gifted and top-selling writer, scribe of blockbuster screenplay, JUNO.

  Above-average at karaoke

Lives in Hollywood Hills

  Lives in parent's basement

Friends include celebrities, hangs out at awesome parties

Banned from Lemont Lanes bowling alley

2007 Christmas gift to parents: Vacation to Los Angeles for Oscars   2007 Christmas gift to parents: Did not vomit on Christmas Day, ceramic plate from Hallmark Store.

Are you sick of people asking you about your sister?

No, not yet anyway.

What inpires you?

Evel Knievel, Jay Adams, Kelly Pavlik, my sister

Anyone recognize you in public?

I am not famous. No one recognizes me in public except people who already know me.

Does anyone ask your sister about what you have been up to?

Probably not

What are your artistic influences?

peanut butter

You ever strip?

No, certainly not publicly. Although one time Z and I took all our clothes off and walked (not ran, but walked) around Marquette naked. The cops came, and almost tazered Z. They put us in the back of the squad and told us it was against the rules to walk around with no clothes on. Then they let us go.

What is your next project?

There is an old Kawasaki KZ1000 I am thinking of restoring.

Do you plan to keep your full time residence near Chicago?

Yes

What were you like in high school?

Same as I am now, but with more hair.

Diablo Cody is not your sisters real name - what should be your fake name?

Marco Polo

If you could get a book published -what would you write about?

1970s muscle cars
