MOM'S CHILI

1 lb. ground round
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped onion
2 cans tomatoes (I use the chopped tomatoes with chili seasoning – I put them in blender first)
2 small cans tomato paste with 2 small cans water
1 tsp. paprika
¼ tsp. Pepper
2 tbls. Chili powder
2 cloves garlic, chopped
Salt to taste
2 16 – oz. Cans red kidney beams (I usually use canned chili beans with liquid)

In large pot, brown ground round, green pepper, and onion.  Add tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, pepper and chili powder. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally (Add more water if the mixture becomes too thick).  Then add the garlic, salt & beans and heat thoroughly.  This is better the next day after being refrigerated.
