Cranberries

1) Buy a bag of fresh cranberries (in the produce section—probably near the sweet potatoes)

2) In large saucepan, put 1 cup of water in; add 1 cup of sugar. Bring to boil—stir to dissolve sugar.

3) Rinse cranberries –then add to boiling water. Reduce heat and simmer about 10 minutes. Cranberries will “pop” – it is fun to hear.

This exact recipe is on the cranberry package. When done cooking, cool and place in refrigerator—they are better the next day when they are cold and they have thickened a little.
