Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant. He missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury and pretty much everyone reported he was going to miss at least a few weeks. Everyone except head coach John Fox of course. However, he’s a well-documented liar so it’s hard to trust anything he or the organization says about injuries. This is what Fox had to say today about Cutler’s return to practice. “I thought he had a good practice,” Fox said. “He was limited. Obviously we’re trying to treat him and get him better as we move forward. Thought we had a good day today.”
FANTASY ANALYSIS: It’s not likely Cutler returns this week. While not many owners are dying to plug Cutler back into their lineup, the owners of his weapons may be. He’s not a great quarterback but he is a valuable asset to his supporting cast. Hopefully he’s back sooner rather than later, nevertheless, Week 4 seems like a longshot. If he does come back all of his pass-catchers should be bumped up a bit in the rankings.
