Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is hoping he’ll be able to suit up next Monday. Still, he’s extremely iffy for the game. Mike Garafolo reported that his ankle was “very weak and sore” on Monday and he was not able to put any weight on it following the game Sunday. The injury is not as serious as it looked, but there is a very good chance it sidelines or at least limits him for Week 3.
FANTASY ANALYSIS: Luckily for Lacy he avoided the dreaded high-ankle sprain. Nonetheless, he’s a very risky play next week. He’ll likely be a game-time decision and on Monday night that’s a major issue if you don’t have his back up James Starks. If you do then you’re in good shape. You can’t just swap him out if he’s inactive. However, you still run the risk of Lacy being limited or spitting carries if he does play. You may better off if they let him rest for a week.
