Twisted Lizard

1964 N. Sheffield

If you've known me for at least a week or two, you know I'm a big fan of mexican food. This is not my favorite. The food is average to above-average, but there are better choices. The black bean chili is good, and I like the vegetables fajitas because you get broccoli and that is rare at mexican place. Food aside - the atmosphere in this restaurant is really great - especially for a large group. The bar and dining area are down a flight a stairs off of Sheffield. There are lights strung about - it makes for a very lively and festive occasion. In the warm months of the year, there is outside seating, which makes for fantastic people watching. Instead of eating dinner here, I suggest you and a friend go early on a Sunday afternoon, get a seat outside, and order chips (with guac, of course) and a margarita on the rocks with salt.
