Buddy of the Year:
Cubs Buddies were started as a joke a few years ago. We were going to the Cubs game and we were talking and Chando said "Alou is my buddy. He is my guy." And we thought that was fun to each have our own Cubs buddy for the players that weren't doing so well. So now we each have a buddy and we cheer more loudly for him than anyone else. We are that player's biggest fan. Each week a buddy of the week is selected based on the player's performance that past week. The Buddy of the Year are the buddies the earned the most buddies of the week. Buddy of the month and guys that made the All Star team are worth 2 buddies of the week.
